The Sipura SPA-2100 analogue telephone adapter with built in router builds on the success of the highly popular Sipura SPA-2000. The superb audio quality and huge array of features is available in a form suitable for users without a ready-made home network. To set the device up, you only need to connect it to your broadband modem, plug your computer into the LAN port, and plug your favourite telephones into the two phone sockets. Remember, you can use a portable phone!

Although the unit does not require you to have a router already, it can be used as a plain ATA in the same fashion as the Sipura SPA-2000 if you so desire.

Features

One of the great features of the Sipura SPA-2100 is that it has two telephone ports which can be independently configured. This means that if you want to sign up for two different VoIP service providers, want two phone numbers with the same provider, or simply require the ability to make two simultaneous phone calls, then the SPA-2100 is for you.

Importantly, the SPA-2100 is one of the most configurable VoIP hardware adapters on the market. Novice users will have no problems leaving most of the settings as their defaults, but advanced users have complete control over the SIP protocol settings, and ATA interactions with the telephone handset(s).

Setting Up

The Sipura hardware does not come configured for any particular provider. You will need to sign up with a SIP Service Provider of your choice, and supply these settings to the Sipura ATA before you can start making calls. If you use one of the popular VoIP providers, the easiest way to do that is to use the Sipura Configuration Wizard. Alternatively, you may set the configuration parameters manually by connecting to the IP address of your Sipura adapter in your web browser The Sipura Support site also has links to a quick-start guide and a complete user manual.
